Marianne L'Heureux’s Coming of Age book is a memoir of a Third Culture Kid who spent a significant part of her childhood immersed in diverse cultures, including Quebec, New York City, Manila, and Tokyo, Japan.
She attended San Jose Abad Santos Elementary school in Manila, graduated from the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, and attended Sophia University in Tokyo.
Marianne learned how to write from reading thousands of books; three books a week over many years. She kept a diary and over a period of six years of writing, research and interviews with family she was ready to publish in 2025. Just before publishing Marianne hired Michael Mau. a talented writer, to format the book cover she designed, and also formatted book content for publication; Michael also did a quick review and edit.
Reading books is very rewarding and can be an expensive obsession for a bookworm; hence used bookstores and the local libraries are a godsend. A great abolitionist wrote: "Once you learn to read, you will be forever free".
Marianne, a former engineer, now makes her home in New Mexico, USA where she paints and appraises antiques and fine art.
Marianne’s hope is that the reader will have a positive experience reading about her life as a Third Culture Kid, having grown up in four different countries and learning to speak four different languages at an early age.
Three formats: Kindle, paperback and hardback.
Le livre est en cours de traduction en français et sera bientôt disponible.
この本は日本語に翻訳されており、まもなく発売される予定だ。
