Marianne L'Heureux’s Coming of Age book is a memoir of a Third Culture Kid who spent a significant part of her childhood immersed in diverse cultures, including Quebec, New York City, Manila, and Tokyo, Japan. In this engaging Third Culture Kid memoir, Marianne shares personal anecdotes about legendary icons such as Lady Iris Mountbatten, Grace Kelly, Marlon Brando, Johnny Carson, Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Charlton Heston, Al Lettieri, and Charles Aznavour, among others.
Marianne’s mother, a show business icon in her own right, was a third-generation singer from New York City, while her father was an acclaimed restaurateur who immigrated from French Canada to New York City.
She attended San Jose Abad Santos Elementary School in Manila, graduated from the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, and furthered her education at Sophia University in Tokyo. Now residing in New Mexico, USA, Marianne, a former engineer, dedicates her time to painting and appraising antiques and fine art.
